Our MISSION in Uganda 2010 was to provide the young people of this war torn country with a little HOPE, HELP and LOVE – Oklahoma style.  Through your generous donations and countless individual contributions, we did just that!  PFA provided much needed health care to more than six hundred people, helped distribute food for about five thousand people and assisted in water well digging that will eventually provide more than thirty thousand people with clean drinking water.  PFA also endured numerous hours of dancing, singing and playing games with hundreds of happy children.

One of the core parts of our trips to Uganda is our work with Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe and the St. Monica Girls’ Tailoring Centre.

The St. Monica Girls’ Tailoring Centre is truly a special place that provides displaced women and children with necessary life skills and training.  The Centre is run by Sister Rosemary and the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Sister Rosemary, who has witnessed this massive Ugandan crisis firsthand, is seeking to restore the lives of these innocent women and children by offering them a safe and secure place to learn, love and rebuild their lives.

We want to thank and applaud Sister Rosemary and the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for their support of a truly revolutionary initiative to bring hope and healing to former child soldiers, orphans, AIDS victims and “child mothers” who have been displaced by war.
