Ashley Harris

1982-2012

Pros For Africa dedicated the 2012 Northern Uganda and South Sudan Medical Expedition to the memory of Ashley Harris, a charter PFA volunteer and celebrated ambassador of the Saint Monica Girls School in Gulu, Uganda.

More than 60 medical professionals served in northern Uganda and South Sudan, assisting thousands of patients and developing relationships with local health care providers throughout the region. Legal professionals helped woman secure land title for their homes and supporting the leading local organizations committed to ending human trafficking in Uganda.

Sister Rosemary, the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the students of Saint Monica, and the entire PFA family mourned the loss of this amazing woman, mother and friend. May we all rededicate ourselves to the work of protecting and empowering the children of northern Uganda just as Ashley demonstrated so gracefully in both word and deed.
